Waydoo EVO eFoil components laid out and ready to order from eFoil Miami

Ordering a Waydoo EVO should feel like the start of a good session, not a checkout page asking you to guess your way through seven different components. Board, battery, mast, motor, wing, charger, accessories... every choice changes how the setup feels on the water. So we start with a real conversation.

We ask about your weight, board experience, local water, storage, and how you actually want to ride. Fast laps? Long cruises? A setup you can share? Those answers matter more than whichever configuration happens to look best online (and they save you from buying parts you do not need).

Once the setup is locked, we send a personalized invoice, pull the exact components, update the compatible software, pair the remote, check the system, pack everything, and prepare it for shipment. Clean. Practical. Handled by a crew that knows the gear.

Quick heads-up: the video is a setup. David is playing the customer, Chris is playing... well, Chris, and both of them are doing their best to act out a normal sales call without cracking up (they almost make it). The steps are the same ones we follow with a typical order: consultation, configuration, invoice, preparation, and shipping.

From there, the video follows the order all the way to the UPS handoff. You will still need to top off the battery and remote, complete the final assembly, and inspect the system when it arrives (prepared does not mean fully assembled). If you want to see the full process with a few laughs in between... watch the video.

What happens when you call eFoil Miami to order a Waydoo EVO?

The first call is not a product quiz. You do not need to show up with a board volume, mast length, wing, and charger already picked. That is our part.

In the video scenario, David gives Chris the basics: 175 pounds, athletic, some surf and kite experience, and plans to ride around coastal water. From there, Chris can start narrowing the setup. Same Waydoo EVO. Very different ride if those answers change.

Expect a few simple questions:

  • How much do you weigh?
  • Have you surfed, kited, or foiled before?
  • Where will you ride, and what is the water like there?
  • Are you looking for relaxed cruising, longer distance, more speed, or a setup that friends and family can share?

None of those questions is there to upsell you. They keep you from building a mismatched setup (or buying an accessory that will sit in a bag). An honest answer beats a confident guess. Every time.

If you want a human recommendation before placing the order, call eFoil Miami at 786-505-2305 or send us a message with your weight, experience, and main riding location. We will start there... then build the details around you.

How does eFoil Miami help you choose the right Waydoo EVO setup?

A Waydoo EVO is not one fixed package. It is a system: board, battery, mast, propulsion unit, front wing, charger, and the accessories that actually make sense for how you will move and store it. Change one part and you can change stability, range, usable water depth, power, cruising speed, or simply how much gear you have to carry.

We work from the ride backward. In David’s example, his weight and board experience point toward the 90-liter board. His coastal riding points toward the shorter mast. His plan to cruise shapes the wing. How often he expects to ride in a day shapes the charger. One answer leads into the next... and the pieces start making sense together.

The goal is not to stack the most expensive options into one cart (that would be easy). It is to build a balanced setup without paying for performance or accessories you will not use. If you want to see the deeper trade-offs before the call, compare every Waydoo EVO model and component in our buyer’s guide.

Which board size fits your weight and experience?

Board size is where the setup gets honest. At 175 pounds, athletic, and with surf and kite experience, David does not need the biggest platform in the room. The 90-liter Waydoo EVO Pro Plus gives him enough volume to learn, but it still leaves room to progress. Right board. No unnecessary bulk.

Waydoo EVO Pro Plus 90-liter eFoil board

The 130-liter Waydoo EVO Max Plus has a different job. It gives heavier riders, complete beginners, and families sharing one eFoil more float and a calmer platform underfoot. More forgiveness. More room to find your stance. Also more board to carry from the car to the water (physics always sends an invoice).

On calmer Biscayne Bay sessions, the 90-liter board is the sweet spot for many Miami and South Florida riders who want to cruise now and carve later. But if stability is the priority, take the 130. Choosing the board that gets you riding sooner beats choosing the smaller one because it looks cooler. No contest.

Which battery, mast, motor, wing, and charger fit where you ride?

Each component should match where and how you plan to ride.

  • Battery: Choose the PowerFlight 23 for longer rides, heavier riders, or a board that will be shared. Choose the lighter PowerFlight 18 for shorter sessions, easier carrying, and a more playful feel.
  • Mast: The 27-inch mast works well for new riders and shallower areas around Biscayne Bay. The 35-inch gives experienced riders more clearance in chop and open-ocean swell.
  • Propulsion: The standard unit covers beginners and relaxed cruising. The performance option adds power for heavier riders or anyone who wants stronger acceleration.
  • Wing: A Voyager 1500 front wing lifts earlier and feels stable at slower speeds. A Glider is better for riders who want more glide, sharper turns, or unpowered wave riding.
  • Charger: The 600W standard charger makes sense if you usually ride once per day. The 1500W charger is useful when you need shorter charging times between sessions.

David chooses the larger battery, 27-inch mast, performance propulsion, Voyager C1500, and standard charger because that combination fits his weight, riding location, pace, and expected use.

Which Waydoo EVO accessories are actually worth adding?

Only add accessories that solve a real transportation or storage problem.

  • Waydoo EVO Mover wheels: Add them if you need to cross a parking lot or beach sand to reach the water. Skip them if you normally launch directly from a boat or waterfront dock.
  • Propulsion unit bag: This keeps the propulsion unit, wings, and smaller components together during storage or transportation. It does not hold the board or battery.
  • EVO board bag: This is useful for condo storage, carrying the board over your shoulder, or traveling. The EPP foam body is durable, so not every rider needs one.

David chooses the wheels and propulsion unit bag, then skips the board bag for now. If you want the full package breakdown, see what comes with each Waydoo EVO setup.

What information does eFoil Miami need to create your invoice?

Once the setup is settled, the phone call turns into something you can actually check. No mystery cart. No seven dropdowns and a guess.

Chris asks you to text three things:

  • Your full name
  • Your email address
  • Your shipping address

He then builds a personalized invoice around the component list you agreed on: board, battery, mast, propulsion, wing, charger, and accessories. Review every line before paying. The invoice is the checkpoint, not a formality. If something does not match, fix it now (boxes are a terrible place to discover a misunderstanding).

In the video, David sends his details while he is still on the call, receives the invoice by email, and completes the order from there. He happens to be visiting Miami while shipping the board home to California, which is exactly why the address and final configuration need to be clean. Simple information. Proper double-check. Then payment.

“Chris’s knowledge, professionalism, and above all honesty created a buying process that was not only enjoyable, but stress-free.”

Craig Simpson, Google Review

What does eFoil Miami do before your Waydoo EVO ships?

Once payment is complete, the order moves from the invoice to the workbench. We gather the exact components listed on the invoice and prepare them as one system before packing.

This dealer-side check helps catch avoidable setup problems before the boxes leave Miami. The order is then repacked for shipment.

In the video, Chris completes this work at the Miami warehouse before taking the order to UPS. The important difference is simple: the components are checked as one system before they are packed, not shipped as an untouched collection of parts.

“From the incredibly thoughtful packaging, to the ease of assembly...”

Bruce Graham, Google Review

Does eFoil Miami update the software before shipping?

Yes. Before packing your order, eFoil Miami updates the Waydoo EVO to the latest compatible software and checks that the system is working properly.

The exact software version may change over time, so there is no useful version number to memorize here. What matters is that the update is handled before the boxes leave Miami (one less setup step waiting for you at home).

Will the remote already be paired?

Yes. eFoil Miami pairs the Waydoo EVO remote with the board before repacking the order, so the controller and system have already been connected and checked together.

When the boxes arrive, charge both the remote and battery before setup, then confirm that the remote reconnects during your dry-land inspection. Paired before shipping does not mean you should skip the arrival check (electronics still deserve a proper hello).

What setup videos will you receive?

eFoil Miami sends you videos showing how to assemble, start, and operate your Waydoo EVO. Keep them open during the first setup. A table full of unfamiliar parts makes much more sense when Chris is walking through the same sequence on screen.

If your setup looks different or something does not connect as shown, stop and call us at 786-505-2305. A two-minute question is better than forcing a connector, tightening the wrong hardware, or guessing at a setting.

How quickly can your Waydoo EVO ship?

In the video, Chris plans to prepare the order and take it to UPS later that day. That is the timeline for this example, not a promise that every Waydoo EVO order ships the same day.

The actual handoff depends on the final configuration, preparation time, carrier pickup, and destination. eFoil Miami confirms the expected shipping timeline for your order once the details are settled. If you are trying to receive the board before a trip or a specific weekend, tell us before paying so we can give you a realistic answer (foil time is better without a delivery-window gamble).

Will your Waydoo EVO arrive ready to ride?

Prepared, yes. Ready to put straight into the water as soon as the delivery truck leaves, no.

Your Waydoo EVO arrives with the dealer-side preparation completed, but shipping requires the main components to be packed separately. Give yourself time to charge everything, assemble the system carefully, and inspect it before the first ride. Do not make your first setup at the shoreline with friends waiting and the tide moving (that is how small steps become rushed steps).

What will already be checked or prepared?

The software will be updated, the remote paired, and the ordered components checked together before packing. Your invoice and the boxes should also reflect the configuration you approved.

That gives you a known starting point. If something does not match the invoice or setup videos when you unpack it, take photos and contact eFoil Miami before continuing.

What do you still need to charge and assemble?

Before your first ride:

  • Charge the PowerFlight battery and remote fully.
  • Attach the mast and propulsion unit to the board as shown in the setup instructions.
  • Install the front and rear wings with the correct hardware.
  • Confirm every connection is clean, dry, aligned, and secure.
  • Complete the startup sequence away from the water before carrying the board to the launch.

If this is your first eFoil, follow the beginner eFoil setup and riding guide instead of trying to learn the assembly and the ride at the same time.

What should you inspect before your first ride?

Start with the boxes. Look for crushed corners, punctures, wet areas, or anything else that suggests shipping damage. Then inspect the board, battery housing and contacts, mast, propulsion unit, wings, remote, screws, and connection points before assembly.

Once assembled, keep the propeller area clear and run the dry-land power and remote check from the setup instructions. Do not ride if a component is damaged, a connection will not seat normally, or the system shows an error. Waydoo’s current warranty terms ask buyers to report shipping damage or defects within 24 hours of delivery, so document the condition immediately and contact eFoil Miami.

What support and warranty coverage do you get after delivery?

You can call eFoil Miami after delivery for help with setup, pairing, operation, and basic troubleshooting. Support does not end when UPS accepts the boxes (Chris is still the same human on the other end of the phone).

Waydoo’s warranty is component-specific, not a blanket two years for every part. Under the current Waydoo warranty terms for North America, EVO boards and front wings are generally listed at one year; masts, remotes, and chargers at two years; propulsion coverage varies by EVO model; and PowerFlight batteries are listed at 24 months and fewer than 300 battery cycles. Coverage applies to qualifying defects under normal use, and the current terms control if the policy changes.

Keep your invoice, serial numbers, photos, and setup records. Maintenance matters too. After the first ride, follow the Waydoo EVO after-ride maintenance routine, especially if you ride in Miami or any other saltwater location.

How do you start your Waydoo EVO order with eFoil Miami?

Start with three things: your weight, your previous board experience, and where you expect to ride most often. Add what you want from the session, whether that is stability, longer cruising, easier transportation, or more performance.

Call eFoil Miami at 786-505-2305 or send us a message. We will talk through the setup, send you the exact component list, and build the invoice after you approve it.
