What Waydoo Should I Buy

What Comes with the Waydoo Evo? A Complete Guide to Your Options.

This guide will help you configure your Waydoo Evo Max, Evo Pro, Pro Plus, or Master Plus eFoil.

If you’re diving into the world of eFoiling with a Waydoo Evo, you’ve made an excellent choice! The Waydoo Evo lineup offers a ton of flexibility, with different options for boards, masts, batteries, wings, and propulsion systems. Here’s a breakdown of everything that comes with your Waydoo Evo and how to choose the right setup for your needs.

Waydoo Evo Board Options

There are four board options with the Waydoo Evo, each catering to different rider levels and preferences:

Which Waydoo Evo should I buy?

There are four board options. We'll share all the details here.

Waydoo Evo Max: A large 130L board, ideal for beginners and heavier riders. It offers stability and float, making learning a breeze. The Evo Max also has the option for an Evo Scooter Kit, which adds handlebars for four contact points. This feature is perfect for beginners who want an effortless, controlled experience on the water—constructed with EPP foam and an aluminum alloy frame. The Max comes with Flight assist, so you can count on the computer guidance to give you extra help when needed!

Waydoo Evo Pro: A 90L board offering a balanced size for versatility and progression. You probably won’t outgrow this board as you get better. The pro doesn't have flight assist, so if you're an experienced eFoiler on a budget yet looking for a performance upgrade from your flyer, this is your board. The smaller size will feel way more responsive and have less swing weight than your flyer one. You can pair it with a more advanced front wing or the glider wing to get a closer but upgraded feel to your explorer wing from the Waydoo Flyer One Plus.

  • Waydoo Evo Pro Plus: Also a 90L board constructed with EPP foam and an aluminum alloy frame, but with added features like flight assistance for a smoother ride. This is a game-changer. More response, less swing weight, more fun, and flight assistance make learning to ride or try new moves effortless. Imagine learning everything you want in half the time, thanks to the sensors that help keep you on foil. This board is more forgiving for beginners and suited for intermediate riders looking to master the eFoil.

Waydoo Master Plus: A 75L performance board designed for advanced riders, crafted from Kevlar for durability. It’s compact, responsive, and ready for high-speed thrills. Imagine a small board that responds instantly to the smallest feedback from your toes or your weight shifting. The Kevlar will make you feel more connected to your wings than ever before. This is an incredibly advanced option for high-level eFoilers who want the ultimate in speed, turns, or wave riding.

There are two colors available: Dawn and Onyx Black.

Which Waydoo Evo Mast Should I Buy?

    Mast Options

    You have three mast options:

    • 27" Aluminum: Best suited for beginners on the Evo Max or Pro, this shorter mast is perfect for learning to eFoil.
    • 31" Carbon: A stiffer mast for more advanced riders, ideal for the Evo Pro Plus and Master Plus. The Kevlar board paired with a carbon mast and carbon wing will have an unmatched feeling and an insane response to rider feedback.
    • 35" Aluminum: A longer mast for those who want more distance from the water’s surface, providing better performance in heavy chop or riding over rolling waves. Longer masts are also fun for leaning hard into turns.

Which Waydoo Evo Propulsion System Should I Buy?

    Propulsion Systems

Waydoo Evo comes with three propulsion systems:

    • Standard Unit (4000W): Great for beginners or those on a budget. It’s powerful enough for most riders and more affordable. Heavier riders will want to consider the performance unit for the extra power.
    • Performance Unit (6000W): Offers more power for heavier riders or those who want to push the performance. This is the bread-and-butter unit that we recommend for most riders. It's what we use to teach eFoil lessons and ride ourselves.
    • Elite Unit (6000W, CNC-machined): Precision-made with the highest tolerances, this system is recommended for the Master Plus board and is perfect for serious riders seeking maximum hydrodynamic performance.

Which Waydoo Evo Battery Should I Buy?

    Battery Options

    • PowerFlite 18: A lighter battery offering up to 100 minutes of ride time. Great for those who prefer shorter sessions and easier handling.
    • PowerFlite 23: Heavier but extends ride time to 145 minutes. Perfect for long sessions and exploring farther distances.

Choose the smaller battery if you are a lighter rider or interested in a lighter board for wave and wake applications. We recommend the PowerFlite 23 as the 2.4-hour ride time is essential to most riders and us. If you're sharing your eFoil, you will want a bigger battery.

Which Waydoo Evo Propeller Should I Buy?

    Propellers

    • Standard Propeller: The most potent option, ideal for speed. New, light, and heavy riders will love this for the smooth power delivery and easy lift.
    • Folding Propeller: The most hydrodynamic and perfect for unpowered wave riding. The folding prop is a necessary add-on if you want a more prone surf foil experience.
    • Jet Drive: The safest option with no moving parts, ideal for riders who prioritize safety. Choose this for a stress-free propulsion option for yourself or the family.

Which Waydoo Wing Should I Buy?

    Wing Options

There are multiple front and rear wing options:

    • Voyager Front Wing G1500/C1500: Available in carbon or fiberglass, this large wing is perfect for beginners, offering easy takeoff and stability at slow speeds.
    • Voyager Front Wing G1100/C1100: Available in carbon or fiberglass, the 1100 version is faster and more responsive, suitable for intermediate to advanced riders. New riders can consider this wing if they don't mind spending more time learning. The C1100 is an incredible upgrade or pairing for the Evo Pro, Evo Pro Plus, or Evo Master Plus. You'll want this wing if you are using the Master Plus.
    • Glider G1500/C1500: Also in carbon or fiberglass, this wing is similar to the Explorer wing from the Waydoo Flyer One but with an improved aspect ratio for better turns and stability.

What Waydoo Tail Wing Should I Buy?

    Tail Wings

    • Gliding Tail 320: Made from PA + fiberglass, this tail wing offers smooth and controlled gliding. This is the tail that is recommended for most riders.
    • Surfing Tail 322: Made from carbon fiber, this tail wing features tips to improve lateral stability and has a decreased angle of incidence, enhancing turning on waves for eFoil surfing. We love this for the Master Plus, too.

    Waydoo Evo Remote

The Waydoo Evo’s remote has a 2-hour charge time and uses a magnetic charger, making it quick and easy to get back on the water.

    Add-Ons for Your Waydoo Evo

To make your eFoiling experience even more enjoyable, Waydoo offers several optional add-ons to improve convenience and enhance performance:

    • Evo Scooter Handlebar Kit: This kit is available for the Waydoo Evo Max, adding handlebars for extra stability. With four points of contact, this feature is ideal for beginners looking for an easier way to control the board.
    • Mover S and Mover L Wheels: These wheels can be added to the 130L and 90L boards to make transportation to and from the water much easier. Simply attach them to your board and roll it down to the shore.
    • Charger Options: Waydoo also offers two charger options to get your battery back to full charge faster:
      • PowerFlite 10 Amp Charger: Great for regular charging needs, providing reliable and steady power.
      • PowerFlite 30 Amp Inverter Charger: Ideal for those who want a quicker charge, cutting down on wait times between sessions.
