Meet Our Team

Our team is made up of an assortment of life long ocean going enthusiasts excited to share the stoke. Although Efoiling is one of the newest and fastest growing water sports out there, we would like to assure you, time has been invested into each one of our instructors with many hours riding and teaching efoiling on all of our Waydoo Products. Our team knows the ins and outs of our Efoils and are happy to answer any questions you might have about our products. We couldn’t be any happier to get you on the water foiling on your own! We are a team of Instructors and athletes that have caught the foiling and Efoiling bug and can’t wait to share it with you!

What other sports do you do and what got you into Efoiling?
I have been a professional kiteboarder for the past ten years and started foiling with a  kite five years ago. Adding the motor only made sense to be able to explore all the spots the wind doesn’t blow.  Efoiling also allows me to get a session on the water even if there is not wind or waves because of the electric motor  we no longer  have to wait on the conditions lining up to feel the sensation of flying over the water. Just give it some power and go!

What's your favorite part about teaching Efoiling?

After spending many years teaching kiteboarding and other water sports in comparison to those sports Efoiling is pretty much instantly gratifying as soon as you give the board some power making the entire Efoil lesson a blast the entire time a blast from start to finish.

Where do you see Efoiling going in the future?

With Efoiling being so new to the water sports scene it’s going to be exiting to see where Efoiling will takes us.  For me I have the most fun trying to explore new places, in Miami we have a vast amount of canals and channels to explore, not to forget to mention our crystal clear ocean on the calm days to see all of our wild life.

Where are you from and why do you live in Miami now?

I was born in Portland, Oregon and grew up just on the other side of the Columbia  River in Washington. I moved to Miami in 2019, where we originally starting teaching kiteboarding which was an absolute blast! Once I heard about efoiling I knew I had to jump on the opportunity to teach a sport that anyone can try and have a great experience start to finish! Miami is such a fantastic place to do this in warm waters surrounded by palm trees and beautiful waterfront homes!

What other sports do you do and what got you into Efoiling?

The sport that started it all for me would be kiteboarding. I began learning the summer of 2019 and then it became a Covid passion if you will, I had all this time to invest in something and I went for the passion that quickly grew for kiteboarding. I began teaching kiteboarding also very quickly after learning since I do have quite the love for teaching and helping others. Efoiling is such fun way to do that as its not only teaching someone a new skill and improving balance, It its a fun and unique experience that we are able to share with our students!

What's your favorite part about teaching Efoiling?

My absolute favorite part about teaching Efoiling would have to be the look on each persons face when they get up on the foil for the first time and feel the sensation of flying over the water. But there are so many moments I love while teaching an Efoil lesson, The reaction pressing the trigger and feeling the propeller push you through the water, Seeing peoples confidence soar when they pick it up faster then they ever thought and the constant smiles people have on their face, even after a wipeout!

Where do you see Efoiling going in the future?

I see Efoiling becoming a more common or at least a more well known sport that average people will get into even with no previous board sport experience, especially with Waydoo Efoils being as user friendly as they are. These Efoils are so easy to assemble, transport and are beyond affordable compared to any other Efoil out there with no compromise on performance that they’re really changing the accessibility of the sport to the everyday consumer. For the water sport lover, Efoiling is the most ideal sport for when weather conditions fail to show up for any other water sport you may do like surfing or kite boarding, you're now able to take advantage of windless and waveless days on the water.

Where are you from and why do you live in Miami now?

I was born and raised in Miami. I love Miami because of how close the beach is. I am so grateful to be surrounded by water. “Sunshine state” is my home. Being surrounded by water is one thing, but being able to fly over it is another. Efoiling has allowed to me to always be on the water.

What other sports do you do and what got you into Efoiling?

I am an athlete who enjoys all watersports. Kiteboarding, which is an action sport, combines all aspects of my favorite sports such as wakeboarding, snowboarding, windsurfing, Efoiling, surfing, skateboarding, and sailing into one extreme sport. When I am not able to Kiteboard, I take advantage of those calm days, And go out Efoiling. You should try it out!

What's your favorite part about teaching Efoiling?

Seeing my students progress. Nothing makes me happier than being one the water, having a good time, and seeing people learn and improve in efoiling.
