Where does the C1300 Voyager fit in Waydoo’s wing lineup?
The C1300 Voyager is a front wing for the Waydoo Evo eFoil. It’s the large underwater wing that generates lift as you move, helping raise the board above the water.
Waydoo’s Voyager and Glider wing families have different priorities:
- Voyager: Designed around low-speed stability and predictable lift.
- Glider: Designed around efficient glide and distance, with a higher-aspect-ratio shape, meaning a longer, narrower wing.

So, C1300 Voyager means a carbon-fiber wing in the Voyager family, sitting between the 1100 and 1500 sizes. The “C” describes its material; “Voyager” describes its design family.

What did we learn from our first C1300 Voyager ride?
Our first ride highlighted the balance between takeoff effort and handling once on foil.
Compared with the 1500, we needed a little more speed and roughly one extra power setting to get onto foil.
This is because a smaller wing has less surface area to generate lift, so it generally needs more speed to support the same rider and board. Wing shape and riding angle also play a role.

How does the C1300 feel compared with the 1500?
Once flying, we focused on how the C1300 responded through turns and as we increased speed.
What changes when you turn?
The C1300 responds quickly when carving and stays smooth through the turn. That makes it worth considering if you enjoy cruising on your 1500 but want a more responsive ride when you lean into turns.
What happens when you increase speed?
We rode the C1300 at approximately 30 km/h, or 19 mph, while keeping the foil in the water. At that speed, controlling its height still took effort.
The useful distinction is between reaching a speed and cruising comfortably at it. The C1300 gave us room to explore faster riding, but 30 km/h was a speed reached during this session, not a tested maximum or a recommended cruising speed.

Does the C1300 use more battery than the 1500?
We expect some tradeoff in ride time compared with the 1500, although we haven’t measured how much. The C1300 needed a little more speed and power to get onto foil in our test, but that alone doesn’t establish battery use over a full ride.

Should you switch to the C1300 or keep your current wing?

Can I choose the C1300 for my first eFoil, or do I need a bigger wing?
Your first lesson and your first purchase don’t have to use the same wing. Start the lesson on a larger wing, such as the 1500, so you can focus on standing up, controlling the throttle and finding your balance with easier, lower-speed takeoffs.
Once you’re getting onto foil consistently, try the C1300. You’ll already understand the basics, making it easier to judge the extra takeoff speed and enjoy its responsive turns and smooth glide.
That gives you a practical path to buying one wing: learn on the lesson setup, then choose the C1300 if it suits your weight, progress and riding goals. You don’t automatically need to buy a 1500 first and replace it later.
