How to Software Upgrade Waydoo Flyer One Plus

When opening the app please check the "current version" and "target version" and if they do not match up please upgrade both remote and Foil.

Steps for updating the power unit:

  1. Download the app "FlyerUpgradeTools" from your app store.
  2. Turn off remote
  3. Turn on the board
  4. Tap (Short + Long) Bluetooth button on the board
  5. Run the app – Click “Scan BLE Devices” to scan for Bluetooth devices. Find Waydoo Flyer Foil and press connect
    • Old firmware will be shown on top
    • New firmware will be shown under
  6. Press upgrade
  7. To validate the update TAP Bluetooth button twice within a second
    8. The status on the app will be shown & motor of the ESC will be beeping
  8. After update- on the app the new firmware will be shown on top of your mobile app

Steps for upgrading the remote

  1. Turn on your Waydoo remote
  2. Click “Scan BLE Devices” on the app to scan for Bluetooth devices
  3. Press “Waydoo Flyer Handled” 
  4. Click “upgrade” on the APP; then press and hold the “+” button on the remote within 30s until the upgrade interface appears on your remote*
  5. The upgrade progress on both the remote and the app will show the progress on your screen
  6. When your remote upgrade is done, there will be a message of upgrade complete on the App 
  7. Upgrade complete will show on the remote, and then the remote will turn off automatically
  8. When your upgrade is complete you will need to re-pair your remote to your foil
