How fast can the Waydoo Evo go?
At eFoil Miami, we have carried the Waydoo Flyer One and the Flyer One Plus and finally now we have the Waydoo Evo to try and reach its top speed!
How fast do most riders go on efoils?
One of the most common questions new Efoilers have is “how fast does it go?” The Truth is all of the major brands including Lift, Flight and Waydoo all go much faster than most riders could handle. As a beginner rider you will average around 11mph and set your governor on your remote about half or even less power to not have to sensitive of a trigger while riding.
However we feel it necessary to test out the top speed ourselves;)
How do you hold the top speed down on an efoil?
As you increase your speed on your remote the upward lift will increase on your board from your front wing. You will have to counter that upward lift by pressuring forward while also adjusting your stance further forward on the board.
The last time we tested the top speed was on the Waydoo Flyer One Plus and we reached a top speed of 27MPH on the smaller faster wings.
Which Waydoo Front wing is the fastest?
Voyager 1500 - Glide 1500 - Voyager 1100
For the Waydoo Evo Speed test we first tested the waydoo Voyager 1500 Front wing. We found this wing to be the most difficult to hold the top speed down with. We were not able to max the speed on the remote out but we were able to reach top speed of 25MPH before crashing.
We then moved onto the Glide 1500 front wing. This wing was quite a lot easier to cruise around at a high speed. We were able to get 26mph on the 1500 Glide wing and we were able to sustain that speed for longer before crashing.
The 1100 Voyager wing was the last wing we tried and was defiantly the speediest wing of all of them. We were able to reach the top speed of 28MPH!
However we were unsuccessful in maxing the full power out on the remote. The 28mph was reached only using 18 out of the 24 speeds on the remote.
We going have to try this one again and I thing if someone is brave enough they will hit over 30mph on the Waydoo Evo efoil!
